Bible Illustrations From The New Hebrides is a book written by John Inglis and published in 1890. The book is a collection of illustrations that depict scenes from the Bible, as interpreted by the indigenous people of the New Hebrides islands in the South Pacific. The illustrations were created by local artists and were originally intended to be used as visual aids in the missionaries' efforts to convert the islanders to Christianity. The book contains over 100 illustrations, each accompanied by a brief description of the scene depicted and its biblical significance. The illustrations are unique in that they reflect the local culture and traditions of the New Hebrides people, while also conveying the universal themes of the Bible. The book provides a fascinating glimpse into the intersection of religion, culture, and art in the colonial era. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
