A New Interlude of Godly Queen Hester is a book written by Walter Wilson Greg in 1904. The book is a retelling of the biblical story of Queen Esther, who saves the Jewish people from persecution in ancient Persia. The story is presented in the form of an interlude, which was a popular form of entertainment in medieval England. The book follows the story of Esther, who is chosen by King Ahasuerus to be his queen. When the king's advisor, Haman, plots to exterminate the Jewish people, Esther risks her life to intervene and save her people. The story is filled with drama, intrigue, and suspense, as Esther navigates the dangerous political landscape of the Persian court. The book is written in Old English, which may be difficult for modern readers to understand. However, it provides a fascinating glimpse into the literary traditions of medieval England. The book is also notable for its religious themes, which reflect the author's deep faith and commitment to Christianity.Overall, A New Interlude of Godly Queen Hester is an engaging and thought-provoking book that offers a unique perspective on the biblical story of Queen Esther. It is a must-read for anyone interested in medieval literature, biblical studies, or religious history.Edited From The Quarto Of 1561.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
