Scottish Songs V1 is a collection of traditional Scottish songs compiled by Joseph Ritson and first published in 1869. The book contains a wide variety of songs, including ballads, love songs, drinking songs, and songs of rebellion. The collection is divided into sections based on the themes of the songs, and each section is introduced with a brief historical and cultural overview. The songs themselves are presented in their original Scots dialect, with notes on their origins and variations. The book also includes sheet music for many of the songs, as well as illustrations and engravings of famous Scottish landmarks and historical figures. Overall, Scottish Songs V1 is a valuable resource for anyone interested in Scottish culture and music, and a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and traditions of Scotland. In Two Volumes. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
