The Youngers' Fight For Freedom is a historical book written by Warren Carter Bronaugh and published in 1906. The book chronicles the life of a Southern soldier who spent twenty years of his life campaigning to open the doors of Northern prisons. The soldier's name is not mentioned in the book, but he is referred to as ""The Younger."" The Younger was a Confederate soldier who fought in the American Civil War. He was captured by Union forces and sent to a prison camp in the North. The conditions in the prison were harsh, and The Younger witnessed many atrocities committed against his fellow prisoners. After the war, The Younger dedicated his life to fighting for the rights of Confederate prisoners who were still being held in Northern prisons. He traveled extensively throughout the country, giving speeches and lobbying politicians to take action. The book includes many anecdotes from The Younger's time in the war and his campaign for justice. It also provides a unique perspective on the Civil War and its aftermath from a Confederate soldier's point of view. Overall, The Youngers' Fight For Freedom is a fascinating historical account of a little-known aspect of the aftermath of the Civil War. It sheds light on the struggles faced by Confederate prisoners and the efforts of one man to bring about change. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
