Canada V2: As It Was, Is, And May Be is a historical book written by Richard Henry Bonnycastle in 1852. The book provides a comprehensive account of the history of Canada, from its early colonization by the French and British to the present day. Bonnycastle explores the political, social, and economic developments that have shaped Canada's identity and discusses the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the country. The book is divided into three parts. The first part provides a detailed history of Canada from its earliest days, including the struggles between the French and British for control of the territory, the formation of the Dominion of Canada, and the country's participation in World War I. The second part focuses on the present state of Canada, examining its political system, economy, and society. The final part of the book looks to the future, exploring the potential for growth and development in Canada.Throughout the book, Bonnycastle provides insightful analysis and commentary on Canada's past, present, and future. He offers a unique perspective on the country's history and culture, drawing on his own experiences as a British soldier stationed in Canada in the early 19th century.
