The Registers of Upton in Overchurch, Cheshire: 1600-1812 is a historical book written by William Fergusson Irvine and first published in 1900. The book contains a detailed record of the registers of Upton in Overchurch, a small village in Cheshire, England, from the years 1600 to 1812. The registers are a collection of official records kept by the Church of England, documenting important events such as births, marriages, and deaths. The book includes transcriptions of these registers, providing valuable insight into the lives of the people who lived in Upton during this period. The book is divided into several sections, each covering a different time period. Each section begins with an introduction that provides historical context for the events recorded in the registers. The transcriptions themselves are organized by year and include information such as the names of individuals involved in the event, their ages, and their occupations. The Registers of Upton in Overchurch, Cheshire: 1600-1812 is a valuable resource for historians and genealogists interested in the history of Cheshire and the lives of its inhabitants during the early modern period. It provides a fascinating glimpse into the social and cultural history of a small English village, and sheds light on the customs and traditions of the time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
