The Singing Campaign For Ten Thousand Pounds: Or The Jubilee Singers In Great Britain (1874) is a historical account of the Jubilee Singers, a group of African American singers who traveled to Great Britain in the late 19th century to raise funds for their school, Fisk University. The book was written by Gustavus D. Pike and provides a detailed description of the group's tour and the impact they had on audiences in England and Scotland. Pike also delves into the history of Fisk University and the challenges faced by African Americans in the post-Civil War era. The Singing Campaign For Ten Thousand Pounds is an important historical document that sheds light on the struggles and achievements of African Americans in the late 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
