Voyages From Holland To America: A.D. 1632 To 1644 (1853) is a historical book written by David Peterson De Vries. The book is a first-hand account of the author's travels from Holland to America during the years 1632 to 1644. De Vries was a Dutch explorer and trader who made several voyages to America during this time period. The book is divided into several chapters, each detailing one of De Vries' voyages. He describes the challenges and dangers of traveling across the Atlantic, including storms, disease, and attacks by pirates. De Vries also provides a fascinating glimpse into life in America during the early 17th century. He describes the Native American tribes he encountered, their customs and traditions, and the difficulties of communicating with them due to language barriers. Throughout the book, De Vries provides detailed descriptions of the landscapes, flora, and fauna he encountered in America. He also describes the various settlements and colonies he visited, including New Amsterdam (now New York City), and provides insights into the political and economic systems of the time. Overall, Voyages From Holland To America: A.D. 1632 To 1644 (1853) is a valuable historical document that provides a unique perspective on early American history. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of exploration and colonization in America. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
