This is an excellent dictionary and one of the best on the market. A particular strength of this book is that it features all words both in romanized transcription as well as in Japanese characters, which makes the dictionary suitable both for the advanced learner as well as the beginner or tourist. The vocabulary covered is fairly comprehensive and one will find most words one is looking for, even though not all, but in any case this dictionary is generally more comprehensive than other comparable dictionaries of a similar size and comprises also new words. The introduction contains a table with the Hiragana and Katakana syllabaries and their romaji transcription. A very recommendable book!
