Historischer Stoff, der aktueller nicht sein könnte. Während die spanische Grippe grassiert, entscheiden sich die Bewohner einer Stadt in Washington State, sich abzuschotten. In der Isolation bricht die Gemeinschaft durch Angst vor der Grippe und soziale Ungleichheit auseinander. Der Roman ist spannend bis zur letzten Seite, ich habe das Buch wirklich in einer Nacht durchgelesen. Leider ist er nicht mehr in deutscher Sprache verfügbar. (Aber eventuell hat ja gerade die eine oder der andere Zeit und Lust auf einen englischen Roman.) Bleiben Sie gesund.
