Vergil's English History V1 is a comprehensive account of the history of England prior to the Norman Conquest. Written by Polydore Vergil, a renowned Italian humanist and historian, this book covers the period from the arrival of the Anglo-Saxons in Britain to the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The book provides a detailed and vivid description of the political, social, and cultural developments during this period, including the rise and fall of various kingdoms, the influence of Christianity, and the emergence of the English language. Vergil's English History V1 is a valuable resource for historians, scholars, and anyone interested in the early history of England. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
