Selections From Polybius is a book that features a compilation of writings from the ancient Greek historian Polybius. Polybius is known for his extensive work on the rise of the Roman Republic, and his writings are considered to be some of the most important sources of information on this period of history. The book includes selected passages from Polybius' work, which cover a range of topics including politics, warfare, and social structures. The translations are clear and concise, making the book accessible to both scholars and general readers. The book also includes an introduction that provides background information on Polybius and his work, as well as a brief overview of the historical context in which he wrote. Overall, Selections From Polybius is an essential read for anyone interested in ancient history, particularly the history of the Roman Republic. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
