""Journal of an Exploring Tour Beyond the Rocky Mountains"" is a first-hand account of Samuel Parker's journey through the American West in the early 19th century. Parker, a missionary, traveled with a group of fur traders and Native American guides on a mission to explore and document the region beyond the Rocky Mountains. His journal chronicles their encounters with various Native American tribes, their struggles with harsh weather and terrain, and their observations of the flora and fauna of the region. Parker's account provides valuable insights into the history and culture of the American West during this time period, as well as a glimpse into the life of a missionary and explorer. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of the American West or the early days of American exploration.Under The Direction Of The American Board Of Commissions For Foreign Missions, In The Years 1835, '36, And '37; Containing A Description Of The Geography, Geology, Climate, Productions Of The Country, And The Number, Manners, And Customs Of The Natives; With A Map Of Oregon Territory. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
