""Charles Bradlaugh: A Record Of His Life And Work"" is a book written by Hypatia Bradlaugh Bonner, the daughter of Charles Bradlaugh. The book is divided into two volumes, with the first volume focusing on Bradlaugh's life and the second on his work.Charles Bradlaugh was a notable figure in British politics and social activism during the late 19th century. He was a member of parliament, a champion of free speech, and a prominent advocate for women's rights and secularism. However, his controversial views on religion and politics often brought him into conflict with the authorities and conservative elements of society. In this book, Hypatia Bradlaugh Bonner provides a detailed account of her father's life, from his childhood in London to his rise as a political leader and social reformer. She also explores his personal relationships, including his marriage to Hypatia's mother, and his close friendship with fellow activist Annie Besant. The second volume of the book delves into Bradlaugh's work as a political activist and social reformer. It covers his campaigns for free speech, women's rights, and workers' rights, as well as his efforts to promote secularism and rationalism in society. The book also includes excerpts from Bradlaugh's speeches and writings, providing insight into his beliefs and philosophy.Overall, ""Charles Bradlaugh: A Record Of His Life And Work"" is a comprehensive and engaging biography of one of the most influential figures in British history. It offers a unique perspective on the social and political landscape of the late 19th century, and sheds light on the enduring legacy of Charles Bradlaugh's activism and ideas. In Two Volumes.
