""Albert Gallatin"" is a biography written by John Austin Stevens about the life of Albert Gallatin, a prominent American politician and diplomat who served as the fourth Secretary of the Treasury under Presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The book explores Gallatin's early life as a Swiss immigrant, his rise to political power in the United States, and his contributions to the development of the American economy and foreign policy. It also delves into his personal life, including his marriage and family, as well as his relationships with other notable figures of the time, such as Jefferson and Madison. Through extensive research and analysis, Stevens provides a comprehensive portrait of Gallatin's life and legacy, shedding light on his lasting impact on American politics and society. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
