""Life And Public Services Of Gov. Rutherford B. Hayes"" is a detailed biography of the 19th President of the United States, written by Russell H. Conwell. The book chronicles Hayes' life, from his birth in Ohio in 1822 to his death in 1893. It describes his early years as a lawyer, his service in the Civil War, his political career, and his presidency. The author portrays Hayes as a man of integrity, who was committed to social justice and the preservation of the Union. The book also explores the major issues of Hayes' presidency, such as the end of Reconstruction and the fight for civil rights. Overall, ""Life And Public Services Of Gov. Rutherford B. Hayes"" provides an in-depth look at the life and legacy of one of America's lesser-known presidents. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
