""Women and the New Race"" is a book written by Margaret Sanger, a prominent American birth control activist and women's rights advocate. The book was first published in 1920 and is considered a classic in the field of reproductive health and women's rights. In this book, Sanger discusses the importance of women's reproductive freedom and the need for women to have access to safe and effective birth control methods. She argues that women should have the right to control their own bodies and make decisions about their own reproductive health. Sanger also addresses the social and economic factors that contribute to the high rates of maternal mortality and infant mortality in the United States and other countries. She advocates for better education and healthcare for women, as well as for the legalization of birth control. Overall, ""Women and the New Race"" is a powerful and influential work that helped to shape the modern reproductive rights movement. It remains relevant today as a call to action for women's health and autonomy. In every nation of militaristic tendencies we find the reactionaries demanding a higher and still higher birth rate. Their plea is, first, that great armies are needed to defend the country from its possible enemies; second, that a huge population is required to assure the country its proper place among the powers of the world. At bottom the two pleas are the same. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
