Dr. med. Klaus Maar, geb. 1945 in Mainz, Medizinstudium 1965 bis 1971, war Guest Professor der Universität Riga. Während der Facharztausbildung zum Urologen arbeitete er an der Universitätsklinik Düsseldorf. Nach seiner Habilitation 1979 wurde er dort zum leitenden Oberarzt ernannt, 1983 zum Kommissarischen Direktor der Urologie. Aus Unzufriedenheit mit den herkömmlichen Krebstherapien entwickelte er eine eigene Behandlungsmethode und bildete sich im Bereich der Naturheilmedizin weiter. Seit 2000 bietet er in seiner onkologischen Tagesklinik in Düsseldorf ein ganzheitlich ausgerichtetes Therapiekonzept an, die Biologische Krebsintensivtherapie nach Maar®.
