In the life described in Linda's book SHEemergence I see that sometimes we get to emerge out of difficult situations and become the Jewel or the Flower that we were intended from birth. There are many things that can destroy, distract or distort our worth. But the one thing that every person of Impact, Influence and Increase has is that they fought through all of the Minutiae, Obstruction, and Stumbling Blocks placed in their way.
Sure it's easy to look with envy at what someone else has, not realizing that they very well may be looking back in envy at what you have. There's a quote that says "in the land of One-Eyed men the Two-Eyed man is King". I believe the life that Linda experienced growing up with the Predators, the predilection for poverty and unfulfilled promises was something that just laid heavy on her spirit. Yet in spite of it, probably because of it, she rose to a level of success and positive outlook that is unparalleled.
What we see is often a direct result of what we hold on the inside. Our inner view definitely shapes our outer view. And that inner view is shaped by the experiences that we go through in the process of becoming an adult. That means as a child things that we were told, those things that we saw, those things that we experienced, those things we hoped for all played a part in determining who we are and who we would become. Linda chose to emerge and her emergence crafted an entirely New Concept called SHEmergence. In SHEmergence, she emerges as a powerful, positive person of impact and influence. I encourage you to read every page, share every point of pain and every possibility of progress. Linda unabashedly and unashamedly shared her past. It didn't keep her stuck but instead prepared her for future that is bright, right and also light.
