She lives near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with her husband and their three children, one of whom has a disability. She is the co-author of Hints and Tips for Helping Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders: Useful Strategies for Home, School and the Community, also published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
