Wireless Optical Sensor Link mainly deals with the wireless transfer of information (temperature sensor reading) from one point (transmitter) to another (receiver) through a small distance (25cm) via infrared medium. The involvement of infrared medium makes it highly reliable for short range communication. Moreover, the best factor involving infrared medium being that, it does not pass through walls and hence can well be contained in the walls of the room which makes it highly feasible for indoor communication. Additionally, it also gives an opportunity to have the same wavelength in different rooms without disrupting each other s communication. The information is coded in the proper format for transmission with the help of a transmitter circuit and transmitted with the help of an infrared emitter. This signal is then detected at the receiving side with the help of a photodetector circuit and finally demodulated and decoded back to the originally sent signal with the help of an integrator circuit. The result obtained was approximately the same as to what was being transmitted. Noise and other factor interrupting the signal have been taken into consideration as well.
