Europe was on the forefront of the search for clean energy solutions and once back in Canada, Leanne became aware that local innovations were rapidly moving in the same direction. BC-based Harbour Air had just become the first airline in the world to successfully test a commercial all-electric float plane. This contributed to her idea for this story about a battery that could never die. If fantasy could become fact, it would make electric vehicles safer and more efficient. This book aims to inspire young inventors everywhere. Illustrators The main illustrations are by Andrew A. Currie, an accomplished storyboard artist and illustrator who lives in Vancouver, BC. His strong sense of narrative and composition are clearly seen in all his works ranging from fine art to commercial illustration. The illustration of dream-like visions - illuminating the mind of a young inventor - was drawn with magic realism by Victoria-based Anna Mah.
