This book surveys the impact of dynamic assessment on the improvement of Iranian intermediate EFL learners' listening comprehension ability, and compares the outcomes to a traditional exam of listening comprehension. Dynamic assessment can declare the training process on special zones where students wish improvement and in so doing allows for suitable intervention in order to help pupils cope with these problems. For this end sixty Iranian male and female learners at the intermediate level were chosen from Kish Institute in Ardabil. This study expands traditional knowledge of listening assessment in foreign language learning and uses dynamic assessment (DA) to the improvement of learners' listening proficiency. Moreover the research investigates to compensate the common lack of diagnostic assessment in language training and the improvement of listening proficiency. The outcomes of this study display that, over interaction in the ZPD, dynamic assessment allows assigning not only the real level of learners' listening proficiency but also to recognize the potential level of their listening progression, as at the same time increasing this progression.
