Autorenporträt
Eric Morris is an actor, director and writer, who, in a seven-decade career, has played over one hundred roles in theater, film and television. He has been teaching his unique system of experiential acting for more than sixty years. An innovator of a complete system that has liberated actors to be authentic practitioners in all mediums and all over the world, he has documented his unique system in ten books, some of which have been translated into other languages. He has an iconic reputation in many parts of the world, and his influence on actors is demonstrated on stages and screens everywhere. Besides his personal work in the field, he served as an associate professor in the film school of the University of Southern California, educating young directors on how to communicate and elicit meaningful and organic performances from actors. Since Eric believes that there is no separation between living and acting, the psychological impact of his work on people has been life changing. In the opinions of many, his stature has been elevated to that of founders of actor-training methods, such as Constantine Stanislavsky. He lives in Los Angeles.
