Cis-regulatory elements (CRE) like promoters, and enhancers are crucial candidate for regulating gene expression. Through the cooperation of Cis-regulatory sequences to their corresponding transcription factors behavior or fate of the gene product can be altered under various conditions e.g. stress or at different developmental stages. Little mutations/deletions within these sequences can lead to phenotypic diversity at the species level. A comprehensive study on CRE will broaden the toolbox of available promoters for use in plant biotechnology. Recent advances in bioinformatics have opened…mehr

Recent advances in bioinformatics have opened new vista to discover novel promoters and their cis-elements which can be improved further by development of more robust computational methods.
