Kelen B. Pedroso holds a double master degree on European Forestry/Forest Ecology and Management (Universities of Joensuu/ Freiburg). H. Spiecker is director of the Institute for Forest Growth and professor at the University of Freiburg since 1992. A. R. Higa teaches and supervises students at the Parana University in Brazil since 1998.
