Autorenporträt
Norwood Francis Allman was born in 1893 and lived much of his life in China where he worked as an American lawyer, consul, newspaperman and judge and also served as a member of the Shanghai Municipal Council from 1940 to 1942. During World War II he served in the OSS in charge of Far East Counterintelligence. He died in 1987. Douglas Clark is a lawyer currently practicing in Hong Kong. Originally from Australia, Doug studied Japanese at Nagata Senior High School in Kobe, Japan and Chinese and Chinese law at Fudan University in Shanghai.
