The book deals with the power unit (EU). The use of an electrochemical generator in an EV allows the generation of electrical energy by controlling the polarization of the segmentetopiezoceramics. Polarization control is justified by a mathematical model and experiments. Electric energy consumption of 1 J makes it possible to get 3,5-5 J at the ESP output depending on the ceramics modification and electric circuit, at the same time the efficiency factor is 55...60%. EV works together with all kinds of batteries and allows to achieve the same efficiency of electric vehicles (with the same free running) with 3...5 times less number of batteries. As a result, the cost of electric vehicles is reduced by about 35...40%, the battery charging time by 3...5 times and, of course, the weight of electric vehicles. The book uses theoretical and experimental data of the doctoral thesis, as well as materials of R&D obtained and published after the defense of the thesis.
