K M Murphy was born in 1980 in Stirling, Scotland, and was brought up in a small mining village. Her writing career began when she woke up one day and decided, "I'm going to write a book today." Although kept busy with a part-time job in education, another in bridal retail, doing voluntary work and being a mum and wife, she feels like she has most definitely found a new passion in writing. Taking inspiration from her childhood and life experiences, she writes with a very down to earth and refreshingly honest tone. Her other great loves in life are her family and friends, singing and dancing, anything sparkly, Christmas time, flavoured gins and yankee candles.
