Hilary Pomeroy, Ph.D. Queen Mary, University of London (2001), has chaired the last five Judeo-Spanish Studies conferences. She teaches the culture of the Sephardic Jews at University College London. She has published widely on the Judeo-Spanish ballad. Her latest publication is The Sephardic Ballad Notebook of Halia Isaac Cohen. Michael Alpert, Ph.D. Reading (1974), is Emeritus Professor of the Modern and Contemporary History of Spain at the University of Westminster. His book Secret Judaism and the Spanish Inquisition was published in 2001.
