The present investigation is an attempt to study of an economic analysis of post-harvest management of selected agricultural commodities in Azamgarh district of eastern Uttar Pradesh, India with objective to analyse the cost of cultivation and input-output relationship of potato, resource use efficiency of potato, price spread and factors influencing the marketable surplus, trends and seasonal fluctuations in arrivals and prices of potato and to estimate the post-harvest losses and suggest the optimum storage. Ten villages were selected randomly from Tarwa block to make two clusters for the study. Thus, 5 villages from each cluster were selected. Further, from each cluster, 50 farmers were selected randomly, so as to constitute a total sample size of 100. The data collected were subjected to analysis for examine the objective of the investigation viz. cost and return, resource use efficiency, price spread, price fluctuations and post-harvest losses and suggestions for storage.
