Carye D. Walker is a 55-year-old African American poet who has been writing and turning words into sayings and sayings into poetry since the age of nine. She has been employed at the United States Postal Service for over thirty years and is a proud Union Steward who has represented hundreds of her colleagues through the years. Carye is a passionate, caring person who believes in giving back, and that love will always triumph over hate. She resides in Hammond, Indiana and is blessed with two daughters and four grandchildren.
