Adam Bajcar est né en 1929 à Lwów, aujourd'hui Lviv, alors en Pologne. Il est géographe de profession et voyageur passionné. Il est actif dans le domaine du tourisme depuis le milieu des années 1950. En tant que publiciste et enseignant universitaire, il est l'auteur de nombreux guides touristiques, articles scientifiques et études cartographiques. Il est membre de la Société polonaise de géographie.
