Irene spent many years in a children's home in Liverpool, England, where she was born. She also lived in New Zealand for four years and then returned back to England. Eventually, Irene became a nurse and later met her dear husband, a Vietnam vet. Irene is a widow. She has two grandchildren. Irene has two sisters. She lost her only daughter to illness.

Irene is a strong, compassionate woman. Simply expressed, she has a beautiful heart and a sweet spirit.
