The participatory intervention in DRR is incomplete without addressing neglected vulnerability factors. This project discussing about mainstreaming the PwD's by advanced strategies, based on lessons from 2004 Asian Tsunami at Nagapattinam district of Tamilnadu, India; with strong DRR governance of LSG body along with community based initiatives. And trying to define vulnerability of the groups in disasters and its various phases, justifying the roles and its needs while mainstreaming vulnerable groups into DRR activities, the capacity analysis of the area contenting them with socio cultural, and economic backgrounds, rethinking on DO's and DONT's to PwDs and caretaker in critical situations, the structural and non structural supports in a same pack of DRR plan, altogether, the possibility of favourable flow of informations in up and down fashion and adequate technology innovations or improvisations can generate user friendly community based early warning system for PwD's by considering each disability. The relevance of the work, are prevailing attitudes against gender creates cultural barriers, and inhabitation in the identified, proven high risk locations to several hazards.
