After my mom passed away when I was seven, I never really understood what had happened or what was going on. I wanted to know when mom was coming back. I hope that this book can give a little bit of understanding to children and that it might give them hope and better coping skills to help along the way just by simply understanding the concept of the actual physiologic responses that are going on. This book in particular goes over Leukemia and how it can affect someone and the signs and symptoms that could manifest themselves if you have this illness. It also explains treatment options and gives hope to those that may be going through a scary time like this and knowing that with science and research outcomes are becoming better with each day that medical professionals can learn more about each disease process.
