This work describes the details of high voltage D.C. power supply whose output is 60 kV, whereas its input voltage is 1- 50 Hz 5 kV of sinusoidal waveform. This developed equipment will be very useful for field testing of HV cables of different voltage grade, as a prime DC source for VLF and OW testing set and charging unit of impulse generators.
