Kidney has long been reported to be a target in patients with HIV infection. Presently HIV related kidney disease is among the commonest cause of kidney disorder globally. Dr Umezurike Okafor is a Lecturer and a Consultant Nephrologist at Niger Delta University Amasoma and Teaching Hospital Okolobiri, both in Bayelsa State Nigeria.He was the best graduating student in Faculty of medical sciences University of Jos in 1991.He has many scientific presentations and publications. He is married with children.
