The nickel-based superalloys are extensive poses these characteristics and these superalloys are also known as the most difficult-to-machine the materials. The machining of these alloys are hard dies for using the high speed dry and wet conventional machining processes. This research is focused on study the machinability performance of the Inconel 800 superalloy in EDM and PMEDM maching environment. The ultimate aims of this research is to improve the performance measures of Metal removal rate (MRR), surface quality and reduce the tool wear of the Inconel 800 in EDM and PMEDM. The main objective of this research is to suggest the best process parameters like a pulse ON Time, pulse OFF time and peak current by using the different electrodes like electrolyte copper electrode and silver coated electrolyte copper electrode with dielectric mediums like pure kerosene and servotherm enriched kerosene through the experimentations in EDM. Similarly, in PMEDM the nanopowders are employed with the average size of 5Nm. The different nanopowders like aluminium, silicon, and multiwall carbon nanotubes are considered for improving the surface finishing.
