Human Rights are the "inalienable rights" of the human family and form the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world. Humanity, as it has witnessed two world wars and stands shattered and battered by the developmental forces, expresses itself through the United Declaration of Human Rights, containing thirty articles ensuring the life, freedom, security, movement and above all dignity and respect of man. A life of dignity is a human right, no matter where he or she lives or believes in or to which sex, race or religion he or she belongs to. But, the marginalized sections, not only in India rather everywhere in the world exist and suffer the denial of their human rights by the hegemonic attitude of the colonizers. As colonial subjects they suffer violence, oppression, humiliation, restricted access to resources and inhuman treatment compelling them to rebel ultimately.
