Herbal remedies continue to be the foundation of primary healthcare for 75-80 percent of the world's population, particularly in poor countries, as a result of their greater cultural acceptance, friendliness towards the human body, and lack of negative effects. Herbal medicines are concocted from plants or plant parts and are employed in the treatment of wounds, ailments, and diseases as well as the promotion of health and healing. The creation and assessment of a herbal gel containing Hesperidin for skin disorders are discussed in this thesis article (Hyper pigmentation). Hesperidins' impact on the skin is also discussed. Hesperidin is a flavonoid that is mostly present in citrus fruits like oranges and lemons. Hesperidin basically shows its effect by inhibiting tyrosinase activity, thus showing role in reducing hyperpigmentation. The project focusses on preparation of liposomal loaded formulation of Hesperidin to improve the delivery of hesperidin. Hence, in the present research work hesperidin loaded liposomes were prepared and the formulation showed effective delivery of hesperidin resulting in improved permeation and drug release as compared to solution of hesperidin.
