However, due to over exploitation, many of the natural aquatic resources are presently on the verge of depletion. Hence aquaculture seems to be the only way to increase fish production. Therefore, the present study was undertaken with the following objectives: to investigate role of herbal liver tonic 'Livol' on growth and survival of M. cephalus fry; to ascertain effect of herbal liver tonic 'Livol' on digestibility and biochemical composition of M. cephalus fry; to analyze the proximate composition of diets at beginning and ends of the experiments.

The author belongs to the Gujarat state in India. He completed M.F.Sc (Aqua) from College of Fisheries, GAU, Veraval. He possesses an experience of 18 years in the fields of Marine Biology, Aquaculture, etc. Since 2013, he is working as a Scientist (Fisheries) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari (Gujarat).
