Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is an ancient oil crop that belongs to the family Pedaliaceae. Ten Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) markers were used to study patterns of genetic variation within and among 50 sesame populations representing the existing Ethiopian collections. I have received my M.Sc degrees from Hohenheim University,Germany and Hebrew University,Israel respectively.I have been working in Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research as Junior researcher (2001-2004),Assistant researcher(2005 and 2008-present)and project coordinator of sesame and groundnut crops at national level (2009 -2011).
