KRZYSZTOF ZIAREK is an associate professor of English at the University of Notre Dame and the author of Inflected Language: Toward a Hermeneutics of Nearness: Heidegger, Levinas, Stevens, Celan. SEAMUS DEANE is the Keough Professor of Irish Studies at the University of Notre Dame. His most recent works are a novel, Reading in the Dark, and Strange Country: Modernity and Nationhood in Irish Writing since 1790 and A Short History of Irish Literature.
