Svalorna Latinamerika works with popular empowerment, through information and opinion building, in order to achieve sustainable development. There is a consensus about the absolute necessity of information and opinion building to support sustainable development, according to Svalorna Latinamerika. One of the conclusions is that the main purpose of evaluation, to constantly develop the program and thereby strengthen the cooperating organizations, should furthermore guide the choice of methodology for evaluation. This should be a consistent methodology with supported by a toolbox of specific methods from which one is to be chosen depending on if it is an activity, effort or goal that need to be evaluated.
