The need to present a detailed written study of employees' job satisfaction in work organization is borne out of the measurable incidence of people joining and leaving the organization. This monograph has systematically presented the basic socio-economic information on employees' job satisfaction and organizational performance in Nigeria with reference to hotel industry, with which the selected big hotels within the Lagos metropolis is used as units of analysis. The focus of this discourse revolves around man. The most important of all factors of production in any organization and this has been the unit of analysis in this study, without which increased performance may not be meaningful concept in any human setting. However, in practical it has been observed and confirmed that service sector employees constitutes the first and major cause of low performance, especially in developing economies. The study employed quantitative and qualitative methods. This presentation notwithstanding, should be more current, more challenging and more useful, as one may not be able to cover all aspects of organizational performance.
