Our urbanized and industrialized population resorts to activities in nature to alleviate the physical and psychological consequences of our evolutionary discordance. That is why, from education, formal, non-formal and informal, survival is used as an educational resource in childhood and youth. However, few educators and experts approach this subject from a technically rigorous and pedagogically appropriate point of view.In this document a systematic review is carried out to analyze the scientific texts that deal with the use of survival techniques during the education of children and young people.As a final contribution, some technical and methodological guidelines are specified in order to support educators in the inclusion of survival techniques in their educational contents.
