Supercapacitors are looking bright option as empowered energy storage device for many applications. Accordingly, in this investigation the electrochemical performances of supercapacitor were boost up, through designing fruitful nanoarchitectures with high specific surface area of electrode. The brilliant electrode material requisite for the supercapacitor comprises of economical and eco-friendly materials and synthesis route, better electrochemical stability, high surface area and good electronic conductivity. In order to accomplish above mentioned features, electrodes of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), nickel oxide (NiO) and its composite were prepared by simple chemical method and the electrochemical performance of electrodes are tuned up through enhancing the electronic conductivity, nanostructures and surface area of NiO through making composite with altered content of CNT. The exclusive performance fabricated supercapacitors based on optimized electrodes proposes NiO/CNT composite is green and prospective choice for supercapacitors.
