The papers comprising this volume were presented at Colloquium No 74 of the International Astronomical Union, on "Dynamical Trapping and Evolution in the Solar System", which was held in Gerakini, Chalkidiki, Greece, from August 30 through September 2, 1982, a few days after the IAU General Assembly of Patras, Greece. The Sc. ientific Organizing Committee consisted of C. L. Goudas, J. p. Hadjidemetriou, Y. Kozai (Chairman), L. Kresak, V. V. Markel10s, P. J. Message, A. E. Roy and V. Szebehely. The papers comprising this volume were presented at Colloquium No 74 of the International Astronomical Union, on "Dynamical Trapping and Evolution in the Solar System", which was held in Gerakini, Chalkidiki, Greece, from August 30 through September 2, 1982, a few days after the IAU General Assembly of Patras, Greece. The Sc. ientific Organizing Committee consisted of C. L. Goudas, J. p. Hadjidemetriou, Y. Kozai (Chairman), L. Kresak, V. V. Markel10s, P. J. Message, A. E. Roy and V. Szebehely. To the Local Organizing Committee' consisting of G. Bozis, J. D. Hadjidemetriou (Chairman), V. V. Markellos, C. Zagouras, and M. Michalodimitrakis, was due the success of the local arrangements. There were 62 participants from 17 countries and 42 papers were presented (in the same order as given in this volume) on a variety of topics of Solar System Dynamics at seven sessions chaired by Y. Kozai, J. Kovalevs'
