Dojoyaburi referred to a type of challenge that ancient martial arts schools use to set up their difference and often had fatal consequences. The events take place from 1881, before creating the Kodokan, until 1884 where the first challenge between the Totsuka Yoshin ryu School and the Kodokan takes place.
